LBS Forward Planning

Like so many music organisations, we are responding to the present situation and shall not be promoting any ‘live’ concerts, recitals or other events for the foreseeable future. However, we hope to promote some Bach online to replace the autumn 2020 ‘live music’ Bachfest, and continue the output into 2021. Watch this space!

An online Edition of “Bach Notes” the LBS Journal will be posted in September, with any further updates to assist your enjoyment of the Society in what are very challenging times.

Bachfest 2021 is at the advanced planning stage (31 Oct-10 Nov, and probably into 2022). This extension of our Festival planning is to ensure LBS’s 75th Anniversary is celebrated with elan in what will be a new chapter in the country’s musical life.

We remain working in the office. This is being done while maintaining our public profile through our regular editions of e-Bach Notes emailed to those on our mailing list, adding pages and posts to develop our new website, tweets and facebook posts and by keeping in touch with our Bach Friends, the donors who help to sustain us year by year.

We thank all our Bach Friends, donors and supporters for maintaining their support during this challenging period. We thank them for the messages received and the encouragement that accompanies them. Our ability to fulfill our charitable purpose depends on the receipt of donations from Bach Friends and through grants from private and public authorities. So if you would like to support us, please get in touch and donate via Bach Friends link below.

If you would like to add your name and keep in touch, then email lbs@lonbachsoc.co.uk to give your consent. Better still, we invite you to join Bach Friends
